Wilcom Unveils EmbroideryStudio e1.5 and DecoStudio e1.5

Oct 24, 2008

Sydney, Australia-based Wilcom Intl., in partnership with Corel Corp., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, recently launched EmbroideryStudio e1.5 and DecoStudio e1.5 in an online event at wilcomdiscovery.com. Wilcom reports that more than 2,500 people from more than 20 countries registered to participate for the launch, which took place Sept. 15. Customers are able to take a tour of the added features, tools and applications available from this new generation of software via the Web site.

EmbroideryStudio e1.5 features full integration with CorelDraw Graphics Suite X4 and offers superior stitch quality, according to the company. The DecoStudio e1.5 demonstration shows how users can combine embroidery and print, moving easily between vector art and embroidery elements — all the while keeping everything in one file for production efficiency. DecoStudio e1.5 also integrates CorelDraw Graphics Suite X4 with Wilcom's stitch processor, lettering, monogramming and appliqué tools.

In an effort to follow a more eco-friendly mission, Wilcom hosted the live online event so no travel would be involved in the demonstration. In addition, the company also redesigned the software packaging to show a "greener" side, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of packaging.
