Boxercraft Founder Named Entrepreneur of the Year

Jon Carroll, founder of Boxercraft, Atlanta, recently was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 award winner for the Southeast region. Carroll was among 23 other nominees in the region, which encompassed Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award recognizes business leaders in more 135 cities in 50 countries worldwide who have “made a difference in building and leading successful, growing, and dynamic businesses,” according to the company. Awards are given to entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their business and communities.

Past winners include Michael Dell of Dell Inc., Pierre Omidyar of eBay Inc., Herb Kelleher of Southwest Airlines and Jim McCann of 1-800-Flowers.com. – J.L.
