GSG Raises Funds for Pancreatic Cancer at ISS Fort WorthOctober 28, 2011
Hank Granberry — father of company president Mark Granberry — passed away Aug. 11, 2001 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He had been an integral part of the success of GSG in its early days. One of the events was a golf tournament that was held Sept. 23 at the StoneBriar Fazio Resort in Frisco, Texas. Participants enjoyed lunch, a full day of golf and an awards dinner in the evening. Additionally, two specially designed T-shirts were printed on an M&R Diamondback press and were available for sale for $5. The two designs were created by Lon Winters, Graphic Elephants, Elizabeth, Colo. A photo-realistic design, featuring a porch with a rocking chair and a guitar, was printed with Wilflex Epic faux water-based inks. A Fort Worth commemorative design, featuring a steer’s skull and a guitar, was printed with multiple textures, including clear high-density gel and foil. Spec sheets were available for both designs, and Winters was available to answer questions about how the prints were done. Winters also created a special Halloween design, which was printed and for sale during SGIA 2011, which was held in New Orleans from Oct. 19-21. The golf tournament and shirt sales combined raised more than $15,000 for the cause. For more information, visit gogsg.com or pancan.org. — S.G. RECENT HEADLINES
