Impressions' Tech Tips Newsletter Give Pointers for Printing on BlendsAugust 25, 2011As part of its mission to provide invaluable educational resources to readers, Impressions recently published its second Tech Tips newsletter on how to successfully print on poly/cotton blends. This Tech Tips Newsletter, titled "Getting the Best Print on a 50/50 Blended Shirt," was sponsored by JERZEES® and features an article, written by Dan Corcoran of Forward Printing, Oakland, Calif. In the article, Corcoran gives tried-and-true tips on how decorators can achieve great prints on blends without having to worry about fibrillation and other problematic variables. Also covered in the article are tips for selling 50/50 blends, avoiding dye migration, controlling temperatures and more. In addition to showing the printing process step by step, the newsletter also includes a video that brings the process to life. The design shown in the newsletter was printed on a JERZEES® Heavyweight Blend T-Shirt (style 29MR), which is constructed of 5.6-ounce, 50/50 cotton/polyester pre-shrunk jersey. It includes a seamless body with set-in sleeves, 1x1 seamless ribbed crew neck collar, two-needle coverstitched front neck, taped shoulder-to-shoulder, and two-needle hemmed sleeves and bottom.
