Kerusso Awarded Safety PlaqueDecember 12, 2011Kerusso Inc., Berryville, Ark., was awarded the "Million Plus Hour Safety" plaque by the Arkansas Department of Labor on Nov. 17. The milestone was based on a five-year span — from Sept. 1, 2006 through Sept. 1, 2011 — without a lost day of work due to safety issues from a single associate. Kevin Looney, AOSH division manager with the Arkansas Department of Labor, traveled from Little Rock, Ark., to present the award. “The Million Plus Hour Safety Award is an exclusive club,” Looney says. “Very often, safety is one of those things that get shoved to the back burner, especially in tough economic times. Last fiscal year, we presented only 13 of these awards. Congratulations to Kerusso for this achievement." Terri Garrett, field representative for Congressman Steve Womack of the Arkansas Third Congressional District, followed with a presentation of a Certificate of Congressional Recognition of Invaluable Service to the Community.
