Kornit to Unveil Digital Textile Printer at ITMASeptember 21, 2011Kornit Digital, Rosh-Ha'Ayin, Israel, announced that it will unveil its Kornit Allegro printer for roll fabric at ITMA 2011, the world’s largest textile machinery exhibition, which will be held in Barcelona from Sept. 22-29. Using Kornit's integrated pretreatment solution, the Allegro’s pigment inks bind to all fabrics, eliminating the need for different inks for different fabrics, according to the company. Kornit's Allegro Symphony inks include seven colors, such as light magenta, light cyan and grey. Kornit's Allegro has a print speed of up to 280m2/hr and a high resolution of 500 x 500 dpi, allowing fast, high-quality prints. Its QuickP Movement RIP software allows continuous positioning, giving Kornit's printing image a sharp, customized look, according to the company. "We are very excited about this new solution," says Sarel Ashkenazi, vice president of marketing and business development for Kornit Digital. "We truly believe that it will revolutionize the industry since it eliminates the pretreatment and post-treatment stages. It also provides the only real digital pigment ink in the marketplace. With our vast experience in creating chemical solutions in the industry, we are able to push the industry limitations and revive pigment inks with our innovative digital machines."
