Oeko-Tex to Present Textile Certifications WebinarMarch 29, 2011The Intl. Oeko-Tex Association will offer a free online presentation on April 6 at noon EST that will review the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and its relevance to the Consumer Products Safety Commission's (CPSC) Children's Products Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 tests textile products to ensure they are free of harmful levels of dangerous substances, such as lead, formaldehyde and phthalates, and is acknowledged by the CPSC as evidence that textile products meet the new law's requirements. The webinar also will review Oeko-Tex's strategies to help meet compliance with other regulations. It will be led by Dr. Sam Moore, who represents the Intl. Oeko-Tex Association in the United States.
