Stencils Made SimpleDecember 16, 2010
The company is the exclusive distributor of RhinoScreen, a dry stencil film developed with Neenah Paper Technical Products, Alpharetta, Ga. “This new four-step process for garment decorating is simple to use, environmentally friendlier, and ideal for smaller shops,” says Gregory Markus, president, RhinoTech. “There is no need for film positives, emulsion, capillary film, exposure or drying time.” First, using a laser printer, the decorator prints a negative image in black on the imaging sheet of the dry stencil system, explains Gerry Rector, associate marketing director, Neenah Paper. Next, using a heat press, the decorator presses the transfer sheet to the imaging sheet. This imaging sheet is then pressed onto the screen at 315ºF using heavy pressure for one minute. The sheet is peeled from the screen when it is cooled, she says. For more information, visit rhinotechinc.com. — M.D. RECENT HEADLINES
